Global Finance Systems Lead

Salary: 95k-105k + 20% monthly bonus

Open to remote candidates within PST, MST, or EST; Portland-based hires are expected to work in a hybrid arrangement.

Our client is an international industrial manufacturing organization with a long-standing history and a strong global operating footprint. This position sits within the North America Finance & Accounting organization and serves as a Global Finance Systems Lead supporting enterprise ERP platforms. The role is responsible for leading financial system implementations, enhancements, testing, and ongoing business support across ERP systems such as Oracle EBS, NetSuite, or JD Edwards. Acting as a key liaison between Finance and IT, this individual partners closely with accounting, finance leadership, IT teams, and global stakeholders to ensure solutions align with corporate standards and business objectives. This role reports into senior North America finance leadership and collaborates closely with global accounting and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Finance Business Lead for ERP system implementations, enhancements, and production support
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, IT, and business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into scalable system solutions
  • Review and evaluate business needs; define scope, objectives, and functional specifications
  • Lead system design reviews, application analysis, and solution validation with a focus on accounting processes and controls
  • Plan and execute testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, UAT coordination, issue resolution, and release support
  • Manage project timelines to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery
  • Identify process improvement, automation, and system enhancement opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to drive successful implementation outcomes
  • Support cross-functional process optimization across global operations
  • Work across a broader ecosystem including ERP, integration tools, reporting systems, AP/expense platforms, banking systems, and close management tools
  • Develop documentation, procedures, training materials, and reports
  • Lead or support end-user training and change management initiatives
  • Provide ongoing production support, including troubleshooting financial transactions and reconciliation issues
  • Support audit requests and compliance activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required
  • Advanced degree or CPA preferred
  • 3-5+ years of experience supporting accounting/finance systems, ERP environments, or business applications
  • Experience working at a Senior Accountant level or equivalent, with strong understanding of accounting processes
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major ERP system:
    • Oracle EBS
    • NetSuite
    • JD Edwards
  • Experience as a power user or functional lead, including exposure to system implementations, upgrades, or major enhancements
  • Experience supporting manufacturing and/or order management environments preferred

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work across global teams and time zones
  • English fluency required; additional languages a plus
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end ERP transaction flows
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or global industrial environments
  • Familiarity with ERP architecture or technical components
  • Background working in highly integrated global finance environments
